Armenian parliament passes several bills
The Armenian National Assembly adopted several bills after putting them to a vote at a regular sitting on Tuesday.
In particular, lawmakers passed in the first reading a bill on funded pensions authored by MP Gevorg Papoyan.
The parliament also ratified the Convention on Avoidance of Double Taxation of Income and Property and Prevention of Tax Evasion between the Republic of Armenia and the Kingdom of Denmark.
A draft law on amendments to the law on the country’s Tax Code authored by MP Artak Manukyan passed the second parliamentary reading.
Meanwhile, lawmakers voted down the amendments to the Tax Code proposed by Prosperous Armenia faction MP Mikayel Melkumyan with 52 votes against.
Melkumyan’s another bill on making supplements to the law “On Water User Companies and Associations of Water User Companies” was adopted by a vote of 97 for and 3 against.
