Volleyball included in the sports program of European Games
Volleyball and beach volleyball are added to the sport program of the tournaments held under the auspices of the EOC. As the Armenia’s national Olympic committee reports, the agreement was reached at the meeting between the president of the European Olympic Committees (EOC), Janez Kocijancic, and President of the European Volleyball Confederation, Aleksandar Boricic.
The source reminds that in 2015 there was a volleyball competition in the 1st European Games in Baku while this year that sport wasn’t included in the 2nd European Games in Belarus. Aleksandar Boricic noted he will be happy to see volleyball in the European Games.
To note, the European Games The European Games are the only pan-European multi-sport event directly aligned to the Olympic Games. Taking place every four years, the Games are a celebration of Europe’s finest athletes that provide a crucial milestone on the road to the Olympic Games. The 3rd European Games will be held in Krakow, Poland in 2023.
