Mikayelyan brothers’ JEVO jewelry brand
Brothers Mamikon and Ashot Mikayelyans are painters, sculptors and jewelry-makers from Armenia’s second largest city of Gyumri. They are also twins, locally known as “jevos,” which they have adopted as their brand. JEVO jewelry is made of silver, brass, and copper, incorporating different natural stones. Each piece is entirely unique and handmade by the artists, My Armenia Program revealed on Facebook.
My Armenia is a cultural heritage tourism program funded by USAID and implemented by the Smithsonian Institution.
My Armenia works to strengthen the capacity and offerings of museums, archaeological sites, guides, tour operators, adventure activities, and artisans. Improved cultural heritage tourism offerings can drive sustainable economic growth to communities․
