The ruling “My Step” faction has approved a decision to initiate a process of suspending the powers of the President of the Armenian Constitutional Court Hrayr Tovmasyan, the Head of the faction Lilit Makunts wrote on her Facebook page.
The news came following the statement by Parliament Speaker Ararat Mirzoyan at the National Assembly session on Monday, in which he described the Constitutional Court ruling on ex-President Kocharyan’s case as ‘ungrounded’ and ‘biased’ and suggested the parliament to express its position on the developments around the highest judicial instance of Armenia .
