Armenian wrestlers receive warm welcome at Zvartnots airport
The Armenian men’s Greco-Roman Wrestling team returned home on Wednesday with dozens of fans welcoming them at Yerevan Zvartnots Airport. The athletes were greeted at Zvartnots airport by representatives of the National Olympic Committee and the ministry of sport.
To note, at the World Championship concluded in Kazakh capital Nor-Sultan the Armenian team won two medals. Slavik Galstyan won bronze competing in the 63 kg weight category and Artur Aleksanyan received silver.
To remind, Aleksanyan who is the Rio 2016 Olympic gold medalist, three-time world and four-time European champion refused to fight in the final match because of an injury and won a silver medal.
