Famous Turkish comedian ‘pays a fortune’ for Daron Mouradian’s paintings
Famous Turkish stand-up comedian, actor, filmmaker and cartoonist Cem Yilmaz ‘has paid a fortune’ to acquire paintings by Armenian artist Daron Mouradian, Ermenihaber reported, citing Turkish media.
According to Turkish source, the comedian is not only a car collector but also a big art investor since 2006. She has a large collection of unique works of art at home.
Yilmaz purchased two paintings by Daron Mouradian at the Galeri 77 fair exhibition in Istanbul.
He paid $66,000 for the Armenian artist’s "Pequod" canvas and $20,000 for "Portre 4" canvas.
