Ministry: Armenian soldier wounded in Artsakh due to violation of firearm safety rules
According to preliminary data, Artsakh Defense Army soldier Hayk Khachatryan suffered a gunshot wound as a result of violation of the rules of firearm safety, the country’s Defense Ministry said in a press statement.
The 19-year-old soldier was wounded on Sunday, 22 September, at around 3:35am, in a northern military post.
“The wounded soldier was immediately transferred to a military hospital, with his condition assessed as grave,” the ministry said, adding an investigation is underway to figure out the details of the incident.
No criminal case has been launched into the incident yet.
