Body of soldier killed during attempted subversive attack against Artsakh returned to Azerbaijan
The body of an Azerbaijani soldier who was killed during an attempted subversive attack on the Artsakh contact line has been returned to Baku, the head of Communication Programs of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) Yerevan Office, Zara Amatuni told Panorama.am.
“By the agreement and request of the sides, the International Committee of the Red Cross took part in the process of removing the body [from the no man’s land],” she said.
The soldier was identified as Ramin Abdulrahmanov.
Azerbaijani military attempted a subversive attack on the contact line with Artsakh on Sunday, 22 September, at around 4:15pm, targeting a south-eastern military post.
The Artsakh Defense Ministry said the Azerbaijani subversive group left behind one body in the no-man’s land after being repelled by the Artsakh frontline troops.
“The Defense Army suffered no losses,” the ministry said in a statement, adding that some episodes of the attack were caught on the surveillance cameras.
