Armenian FM, OSCE head meet in New York
Armenian Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan, who is in New York to take part in the 74th session of the UN General Assembly, on Thursday met with OSCE Chairperson-in-Office Miroslav Lajčák.
Mnatsakanyan reiterated Armenia's support for the Slovak presidency's priorities to build a safe future and effective multilateral diplomacy, the Foreign Ministry said in a press release.
The Armenian foreign policy chief presented his counterpart the ambitious agenda of reforms implemented by the Armenian government, attaching great importance to the continued support of the OSCE structures in this process.
At the request of the OSCE head, the Armenian FM referred to the current state of the Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) peace process, in particular to his meetings with the Azerbaijani foreign minister on September 23 in New York with the mediation and participation of the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs.
Introducing Armenia 's principled position on and approaches to the process, Mnatsakanyan stressed the importance of expanding and strengthening Artsakh's sense of ownership over the process.
