New souvenir sheet with one stamp cancelled dedicated to 100th anniversary of Armenian poet Gevorg Emin
One postage stamp dedicated to the theme “Prominent Armenians. 100th anniversary of Gevorg Emin” has been cancelled n Monday and put into circulation by “HayPost” CJSC in the premises of the Cinema House.
As the company reported in a press statement, the postage stamp with nominal value of 120 AMD is printed in “Cartor” printing house in France with the print-run of 30 000 pcs. The author of the stamp’s design is the chief designer of “HayPost” CJSC Vahagn Mkrtchyan.
The postage stamp depicts the portrait of the prominent Armenian writer, poet and translator Gevorg Emin (1919-1998) made in digital art manner. The background of the postage stamp depicts a fragment of Gevorg Emin’s handwriting.
The postage stamp was cancelled by the Deputy Minister of High-Technological Industry of the Republic of Armenia Armen Abroyan, the member of the Executive Board of “HayPost” CJSC, the chief legal advisor of “HayPost” CJSC Arayik Abrahamyan, the Chairman of Writers’ Union of Armenia Edward Militonyan, the President of the Union of Philatelists of the RA Hovik Musayelyan, son of Gevorg Emin, Artashes Emin.
