One killed, several others injured in crash involving military trucks in Armenia
One person has been killed, while 14 others were injured in a road traffic accident involving four military trucks and a passenger bus, the Ministry of Emergency Situations reported.
The accident occurred on Talin-Arteni highway at around 7:30pm on Sunday.
Three KAMAZ trucks and a ZIL belonging to the Defense Ministry collided on the 20th kilometer of the road. Afterwards, the bus carrying civilians slammed into the trailer of one of the military trucks.
The driver of the bus, identified as Hakob Hakobyan, died in the wake of the crash, while its 14 passengers were hospitalized at Armavir and Talin Medical Centers.
The cause of the crash was not immediately clear.
An investigation into the circumstances of the accident is underway, the Investigative Committee said.
