Supreme Eurasian Economic Council meeting kicks off in Yerevan
A narrow-format meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council kicked off in Yerevan, with three items on the agenda.
Issues related to the Eurasian Economic Forum, the presidency and staff of the Eurasian Economic Commission and customs tariffs of imports to the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) member states will be discussed at the meeting.
Participating in the Yerevan summit are Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, Russian President Vladimir Putin, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, Kyrgyzstan's President Sooronbay Jeenbekov, Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Chairman of the Eurasian Economic Commission Board Tigran Sargsyan.
A meeting in expanded format will follow in attendance of Moldovan President Igor Dodon by virtue of Moldova’s status of an observer state at the EAEU, as well as President Hassan Rouhani of Iran and Singapore’s Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong as invited heads of state.
