Numbers of students enrolled in Akhalkalaki schools dropping
The total number of school students enrolled in Georgia’s Akhalkalaki municipality primary schools is 7014 in 2019, which is less by 283 to compare with the data of 2015, Jnews reported.
According to the source, the decline on numbers is observed on yearly basis.Despite the fact that individual schools show growth in enrollment numbers, the overall picture is not promising as 41 out of 60 schools of the municipality show declining statistics in students’ numbers.
To note, Akhalkalaki is the center of Georgia's southern region of Samtskhe–Javakheti with an overwhelming Armenian population.
