Charles Aznavour’s bust to be installed in Paris
On October 1, in commemoration of the first anniversary of Charles Aznavour’s death, the Aznavour Foundation donated the bust of the great singer to the Municipality of Paris.
Aznavour’s family members, as well as Armenia’s Ambassador to France Hasmik Tolmajyan attended the ceremony, Paris Vox reports.
The bust is set to be installed at the 6th arrondissement of Paris, at the crossroads of the Odéon district where Aznavour had spent his childhood.
The artwork created by sculptor Alice Mélikian in 1964 was handed to Aznavour during his first trip to Armenia.
The timeframes for installing the bust are not clear yet, pending a decision of the Paris Municipality.
