Putin, Aliyev meet in Sochi
Russian President Vladimir Putin meet with his Azerbaijani counterpart Ilham Aliyev in Sochi. As Ria Novosti reported, Putin and Aliyev discussed the development of trade and economic relations.
"Despite there was a pause in our personal contacts, relations between our countries continued to develop and are developing successfully. Trade and economic ties are strengthening, trade turnover amounted to $ 2.5 billion last year," the source quoted Putin as saying.
In his opinion, countries have good prospects in this direction. "We need to exchange information on how relations are developing in other areas, I hope that today we will succeed in this and you will participate in an interesting general discussion," the Russian leader added.
To note, the meeting took place on the sidelines of Valdai forum underway in Sochi.
