Armenia’s crisis management center handles 256 emergencies in one week
The National Center for Crisis Management of Armenia’s Ministry of Emergency Situations responded to a total of 436 calls from 30 September to 6 October, of which 256 were emergency cases.
The number included 137 household calls, 173 fire calls, 65 road traffic accidents, as a result of which 2 people died, 75 others suffered injuries, while 10 citizens were rescued.
The center registered 18 cases of snake detection in the past week, with snakes found by rescuers while responding to 7 reports, the ministry’s press service said.
The past week saw 8 poisoning cases affecting 14 citizens.
The ministry urges people to be as vigilant as possible and strictly observe safety rules.
