Yvonne Chiu: We see Armenian dream come true
“I am really proud of the WCIT 2019 (World Congress on Information Technology) in Armenia,” Chairwoman of the World Information Technology and Services Alliance (WITSA) Yvonne Chiu told a news conference summing up the largest IT forum being held in Yerevan on 6-9 October.
Chiu said when she met with Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan during her Armenia trip in May 2018, she noted that she would like to have Armenia make WCIT 2019 the best event ever.
“Since then I have come to Armenia many times, and so much progress… the whole country was working on that,” she said, thanking the Armenian government for its support.
“We see the Armenian dream come true,” the WITSA chair noted.
WCIT was established by the World Information Technology and Services Alliance and is held every year. WITSA is a leading consortium of ICT industry association members from over 80 countries/economies around the world. WITSA’s members represent more than 90 percent of the world ICT market.
WCIT 2019, which has attracted more than 2,500 participants from over 70 countries, will come to its end on Wednesday evening.
