Court hearing in trial of Kocharyan, three other former top officials adjourned
The Yerevan Court of General Jurisdiction adjourned on Tuesday a hearing in the criminal case involving Armenia’s second President Robert Kocharyan and three other former senior officials.
Kocharyan’s lawyers informed the court that their client, who underwent a surgery on 9 October, is in a post-surgical recovery and cannot attend the court hearings in the next one to two weeks.
Presiding judge Anna Danibekyan rescheduled the court hearing on 5 November given the fact that the trial cannot proceed amid the absence of the ex-president.
