Car customs clearance checkpoint to open in Gyumri till the end of the year
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan visited Gyumri on Saturday, Armenia’s second largest city to get familiarized with the ongoing construction works of the new car customs clearance checkpoint. The PM toured the facility and talked to the SRC representatives over the future plans of the new Center operation.
As the deputy head of Armenia’s State Revenue Committee Shushanki Nersisyan told reporters, the center will open till the end of the year.
The SRC official informed that over the past days the center had implemented customs clearance process of 35-45 light vehicles daily imported from Georgia and Japan, while the number of cars that passed through clearance process reached 180 yesterday.
To remind, the Cabinet approved the project to move the customs house for vehicles from Yerevan to Gyumri in June in an effort boost the city’s economic life.
