Around 30 people killed and injured in targeting by the Turkish warplanes near Ras al-Ayn city
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented the death of 7 citizens and the injury of at least 21 others in airstrikes carried out by the Turkish warplanes which targeted the eastern countryside of Ras al-Ayn, where they targeted Abu Rasin area and the nearby villages.
The reports by Syrian sources say the Turkish airstrikes represent yet another violation of the ceasefire in northeast Syria, which was announced by U.S. Vice President Mike Pence a day earlier. The Turkish military and its Syrian proxies shelled Ras al-Ayn and its vicinity early in the morning.
The ceasefire, which will last for 120 hours, should allow Kurdish fighters to withdraw from the designated 32 km deep “safe-zone” along the border with Turkey.
it is noted that dozens of injured people are still trapped inside Ras al-Ayn. First responders in northeast Syria are trying to evacuate them now. However, the continues Turkish attack is blocking the road to the town.
