Suspicious package at Yerevan airport caused no delays, panic
Yerevan Zvartnots International Airport has revealed details of the incident involving a suspicious package.
The package containing explosive-like substance was found at the entrance of the airport’s Departures Hall on the second floor on Thursday.
The road leading to the airport’s second floor has been shut down amid security concerns. The incident has caused no delays or panic, Zvartnots Airport said in a Facebook post.
Bomb squads have been called in at the airport to identify the suspicious package. An ambulance has also been called to the airport.
“Law enforcement officers are revealing the identity of the person or persons who left the item at the airport and other details of the incident,” the post read.
