Levon Aronian returns to top 10 in FIDE chess ratings
The leading Armenian chess player, grandmaster Levon Aronian returns to top 10 in the latest World Chess Federation (FIDE) November ratings released on Friday.
In the standard section Magnus Carlsen the current world champion with 2870 points is at the top of the world chess players. American Fabiano Carvana with a score of 2822 and Chinese Ding Liren with 2801 are placed second and third in the list of top chess players.
The list also features Armenian players Gabriel Sargsyan (47th) and Hrant Melkumyan (79th).
Among women, Armenia’s Lilit Mkrtchyan is on the 66th place, while Elina Danielyan is placed the 71st.
