Armenian PM: Top 1,000 taxpayers paid 13.5% more taxes in first nine months of 2019
Armenia’s largest 1,000 taxpayers paid a total of 765 billion drams to the state budget in the first nine months of 2019, up 13.5% from the same months of 2018, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan wrote on Facebook.
According to the PM, in January-September the total amount of taxes paid by the top 10, 50 and 100 taxpayers has also increased from the same period of the past two years.
“Thus, the top 10 taxpayers paid around 190 billion drams to the state budget, securing an increase of 21.5 billion drams or 12.6% from the past year. Top 100 taxpayers paid 50 billion drams more compared to the numbers of 2018,” Pashinyan said.
The prime minister noted in order to make it to the list of the largest 1,000 taxpayers companies needed to pay at least 119 million in taxes in January-September 2019, slightly higher than 98 million drams in 2018 and only 80 million drams in 2017.
