CSTO PA Council session kicks off in Armenia
The session of the Council of the Collective Security Treaty Organization Parliamentary Assembly (CSTO PA) kicked off in Yerevan, the capital of Armenia, on Tuesday, in attendance of parliamentary delegations of Armenia, Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan.
Apart from the CSTO member states, the delegations of Serbia and Afghanistan are also taking part in the session as observers.
The Armenian delegation includes National Assembly Speaker Ararat Mirzoyan, Deputy Speaker Alen Simonyan and Chairman of the parliament’s Standing Committee on Defense and Security Affairs Andranik Kocharyan.
CSTO PA President, Chairman of the Russian State Duma Viacheslav Volodin, Deputy Speaker of the Russian Federation Council Yury Vorobyov, as well as speakers of the parliaments of Tajikistan, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan are among the attendees.
