Artsakh official: Surge in Azerbaijan's military spending fraught with serious threats
The surge of 21% in Azerbaijan’s military spending is fraught with serious threats, an aide to the Artsakh president, Tigran Abrahamyan wrote on Facebook.
“When discussing the issue of Azerbaijan’s armament and the rise in funds allocated in that direction in the context of the military spending increase envisaged by Armenia’s draft state budget, we must take another factor of no less importance into account: which are our priorities in the military sector, and in the frontline, separately? Have we set short-term, mid-term and long-term priorities?” the official said.
Abrahamyan stressed the need to have clear insight into tasks set before the armed forces, the army’s priorities, the timeframes and tools of their fulfilment, as well as the factors that could possibly influence the solution of the problems facing the army.
