Abraham Khashmanyan appointed as Armenian national team head coach
FC Alashkert head coach Abraham Khashmanyan was appointed as Armenian national team head coach, the Football Federation (FFA) reported. According to the source, FFA president Artur Vanetsyan announced the appointment on Wednesday.
“The preference was given to one of the most experienced coaches working in Armenia. I wish him all success. In 2019, our national football team recorded some impressive victories. I am hopeful our team led by the new head coach will meet our fans’ expectations,” the FFA president said as quoted by the source.
To remind, the appointment came after former head coach of the Armenian national football team Armen Gyulbudaghyants resigned on October 18 after his team suffered a 3-0 defeat from Finland in a Euro 2020 qualifier.
