Azerbaijan sends diplomatic note to Russia over visit of Artsakh FM to Moscow
Russian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Mikhail Bocharnikov was invited to Azerbaijani foreign ministry on Wednesday where he was handed a note of protest with regard to the visit of Artsakh FM Masis Mayilyan and Minister of Culture Lernik Hovhannisyanto to Moscow and their meetings with Russian expert circles.
As the local sources reported, the ministry underlined in the protest note that such visits are of “provocative nature” and “against the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Republic of Azerbaijan,” “they undermine the negotiation process and the spirit of sincerity and high trust between Azerbaijan and Russia”.
To remind, on November 4, Artsakh FM Masis Mayilian met with leaders and representatives of a number of Russian expert and academic centers in the Permanent Representation of the Republic of Artsakh in Moscow.
During the meeting, Minister Mayilian presented the priorities of the foreign policy of Artsakh, in particular, the process of international recognition of the country and the current stage of the Azerbaijani-Karabakh conflict peaceful settlement process.
