Prominent Yuri Bashmet to perform Tchaikovsky in Yerevan
Famous violinist and conductor Yuri Bashmet will perform in Yerevan. The concert, which will take place at Aram Khachaturian concert hall on November 9, is organized within the framework of the Contemporary Classics Composers' Festival that had brought together contemporary legendary composers in Armenia.
As the Armenian State Symphony Orchestra (ASSO) reported in a press release, under the baton of Sergey Smbatyan, ASSO will present A.Tchaikovsky's Grand Serenade. Soloists Yuri Bashmet, Alexander Tchaikovsky will perform “Etudes in Simple Tones”. Pianists Alexander Tchaikovsky, Daria Tchaikovskaya will present A.Tchaikovsky's Double Concerto for 2 Pianos and Orchestra.
The Contemporary Classics Composers' Festival is organized by the Armenian State Symphony Orchestra , in partnership with the European Foundation for Support of Culture and the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport.
