Artsakh army soldier arrested in death of fellow serviceman
A soldier of the Artsakh Armed Forces has been arrested in the death of his fellow serviceman as part of a criminal case launched by the Investigative Committee.
As reported earlier, soldier Erik Harutyunyan, 19, who served in a south-eastern military unit, suffered fatal gunshot wounds on 4 November, at around 7:30pm.
The arrested soldier, whose identity is not disclosed, is suspected of breaching elations, prescribed by field manuals, between servicemen not subordinated to each other and insulting his fellow under Articles 359.1 and 360.1 of Armenia’s Criminal Code.
The preliminary probe is underway, the committee said.
