507 Armenian citizens denied entry to Georgia this year
From the beginning of 2019 till October 20, 21,975 people were banned from crossing the state border of Georgia, Jnews reported, citing the country’s Interior Ministry.
The data released by the ministry showed 9,272 Iranian and 4,238 Indian citizens were not allowed to enter the country in around ten months.
The top five countries the citizens of which were denied entry to Georgia also include Azerbaijan (1,607 citizens), Turkey (1,231 citizens) and Russia (949 citizens).
507 Armenian citizens were banned from entering Georgia in the reporting period.
The bans on entering the country have increased this year against last year, the media outlet said.
In 2018, 16,025 citizens, mostly from Iran and India, were refused entry to Georgia.
