Ayvazovsky’s “Seaside city. View of Yalta” to be displayed at the Museum of One Painting in Penza
The painting “Seaside city. View of Yalta” by world-famous seascape painter Hovhannes Aivazovsky will be displayed at the Museum of One Painting in Russia’s Penza city. According to the report by russia58.tv, the official opening of the exhibition will take place November 29 and will be on display until 2020 November. As part of the exhibition a documentary about the painter’s work and life will be screened.
To note, the Museum of One Painting in Penza is a unique museum, which does not have analogies anywhere in the world. Its peculiarity is that it does not have a permanent exposition and that it only shows one painting. The museum contains only one hall, which introduces only one painting that is usually of great cultural significance. Before visitors can familiarize themselves with the painting, they watch a 45-minute film, describing the peculiarities of the exhibit, its history and the biography of the painter.
