Armenia’s birth rate increased in 2019 – Pashinyan
18, 493 babies were born in Armenia in the second and third trimesters of the ongoing year which is 235 more to compare with the birth rate recorded during the whole 2018 year. As PM Pashinyan wrote on his Facebook, 18,298 births were recorded in 2918 in Armenia. In the PM words, the statistics provides room for optimist, considering the continuous decline in birth rates over the past five years.
Based on the statistics, Pashinyan concludes that positive expectations and optimism have grown in Armenian families after the revolution which is also supported by other statistics recalled by the PM –the decline in divorce and rise in marriage rates.
