Armenian journalists to reportedly visit Baku
A group of reporters from Armenia will pay a visit to Baku on November 17, according to Azerbaijani media reporters.
Azerbaijani journalists, in turn, are reportedly set to visit Armenia on 18-19 November.
Panorama.am contacted Armenian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Anna Naghdalyan for comments, but the official neither confirmed nor denied the reports.
After talks with OSCE Secretary General Thomas Greminger, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov announced on 31 October the parties to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, under the mediation of the OSCE Minsk Group, had discussed "the issue of mutual visits of journalists in an effort to slightly ease the situation and contribute to the atmosphere conducive to peace.”
A statement following the meeting of Armenian, Azerbaijani and Russian foreign ministers in Moscow on 15 April in attendance of the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs and personal representative of the OSCE chairperson-in-office, said, among other things, the ministers expressed their willingness to “start concrete work on establishing contacts between people, including through mutual visits of media representatives.”
