Armenia’s divorce rates down this year
Armenia had a rate of 246 divorces per 1,000 marriages from January to September this year, against the 264 divorce cases of the same period of 2018, according to the latest figures released by the State Statistical Committee.
According to the official statistics, 11, 592 marriages were registered in Armenia in the first nine months of 2019 which is 682 more to compare with the rate of the indicated period in the previous year. Most marriages were registered in February which is reportedly conditioned with St. Sargis Holiday. The highest marriage rate was registered in Yerevan (4 919), followed by Kotayk (1 009), Armavir (919) and Ararat (897).
In the meantime, divorce rate totaled to 2850 in the reporting period which is less by 300 to compare with previous year’s data.
