Jewelry worth 1,9 million AMD stolen from a passenger’s luggage at Zvartnots airport
On November 15, at around 20:00 a Russian citizen reported to Yerevan Police department that a jewelry worth 1,9 million AMD (around $4,000) was stolen from his suitcase upon his arrival at Zvartnots airport on a Moscow-Yerevan flight at 12:30.
Based on the received report, the criminal investigators along with aviation security officers on the same day detained three employees of the airport suspected in the stealing.
According to the source, the theft was confiscated. A criminal investigation has been launched to look into the circumstances of the incident with the suspects - a resident of Ayntap village and two residents of Yerevan - arrested. A premilitary investigation is underway.
