Gallup lists Armenia among world’s safest countries
Gallup International has listed Armenia among the world’s safest countries in its latest Law and Order report for 2018.
The 2019 Global Law and Order report updates leaders on the progress countries are making – or aren't making – toward achieving the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goal of "promoting just, peaceful and inclusive societies."
Armenia ranks 7th on the list, sitting between Switzerland and Finland. An estimated 89% of the respondents said they feel safe in Armenia.
Singapore (94%) tops the list of the world’s safest countries, followed by Norway (93%) and the United Arab Emirates (93%).
Last year only 13% of the responders said that they feel safe in Afghanistan, making the country last on the list. South Africa and Venezuela also appeared at the bottom of the list.
