France following Kocharyan’s trial, lawyer says
Sevak Torosyan, a French-Armenian lawyer of second Armenian President Robert Kocharyan, has addressed a letter to French President Emmanuel Macron.
“I wrote that letter without waiting for a response. It is no secret that I have been reporting France and some international organizations on this case over the recent year,” Torosyan told reporters in Yerevan.
In a letter to Macron, he outlined a year-long trial, the main points and made proposals.
"I received a response from President Macron a few days ago, and it gave assurances that France is following President Robert Kocharyan's trial," the lawyer said, adding that the French president's written response to him was interesting.
He stressed that Macron’s office knew that the letter would be published.
