Armenia parliament adopted legislation raising minimum salary to 68,000 drams
The Armenian National Assembly adopted in the second and final reading on Tuesday the amendments to the RA Law about the minimum monthly salary that envisages increase in the minimum salary in Armenia by around 24% from 55,000 drams to 68,000 drams.
The bill co-authored by MPs Varazdat karapetyan, Babken Yunyan and Narek Zeynalyan was first approved by the government in June.
The measure is expected to apply to total of 130,000 private sector employees and 57,000 public sector employees.
