Armenia’s third president leaves for Croatia
Chairman of the Republican Party of Armenia (RPA), third President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan on Tuesday paid a working visit to Zagreb, Croatia, where he will take part in the Congress of the European People’s Party (EPP) scheduled for November 19-21, his office reported.
The EPP Congress will bring together nearly 2,000 participants from 40 countries, as well as representatives of the EU leadership, the political leaders of non-EU member states and the heads of European political parties.
The participants are set to elect a new president and chairmanship of the European People’s Party.
Serzh Sargsyan will address the congress, and on the same day he will attend the EPP summit in the evening.
On the sidelines of the visit, the Republican leader is also expected to have several working meetings with the delegations of sister political parties.
He will be accompanied by RPA Vice Chairman Armen Ashotyan.
