Armenian defense minister, OSCE diplomat discuss frontline situation
Armenia’s Defense Minister Davit Tonoyan received on Wednesday Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office, Ambassador Andrzej Kasprzyk.
The meeting addressed the Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) conflict settlement process, as well as the situation on the line of contact between the armed forces of Artsakh and Azerbaijan and on the Armenian-Azerbaijani state border.
The officials also discussed the humanitarian actions in the Artsakh settlement process and stressed the need to combine the efforts of the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs and the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in this regard.
Tonoyan and Kasprzyk reiterated the importance of introducing confidence-building measures on the Artsakh-Azerbaijani contact line and the Armenian-Azerbaijani border.
