Armenian citizens arrested in Georgia for attempting to transfer prohibited items
A passenger bus en route to Armenia was stopped on Saturday night on the Georgian side of Lars checkpoint where prohibited items in the luggage of unidentified passengers were revealed. As Georgia’s law enforcement bodies report, three citizens of Armenia have been arrested.
As the Armenian Embassy in Georgia reports, a preliminary investigation is underway, all passengers of the bus are being questioned, adding the details of the incident will be communicated further.
According to the source, the Armenian diplomats have provided the passengers with food and first aid kit. The diplomats are working to speed up the transfer of the passengers to Armenia.
