Armenia's economic activity index grows by 7.1% in first 10 months of 2019
According to the data released by Armenia's National Statistical Service (NSS), the economic activity index (EAI) of Armenia increased by 7.1 % in January-October 2019 to compare with the same period of 2018. According to the newly released statistics by NSS, the industrial output of the country rose by 8.8%, compared to January-October 2018 with construction volumes growth amounting for 4.5%, while the electricity production volumes decreased by 2.7%.
Trade turnover volumes increased by 8.9% over the reporting period to compare with the previous year data, while he service volume (excluding the trade) rose by 15.1%.
The consumer prices, according to the NSS statistics, also increased by 1.6% compared to January-October 2018. The external trade turnover of Armenia rose by 6.5% with the exports volumes increasing by 7.25% and imports volumes – by 6.2%
According to the NSS data, during January-October 2019, the average monthly salary in Armenia grew by 5.9 % and the average annual wage by 6%.
