Armenian authorities probing soldier’s death in Syunik
The Investigative Committee is probing the death of a 19-year-old serviceman of the Armenian Armed Forces.
The solder, identified as Vahan Musheghyan, was found hanged from a tree in the territory of Dilijan Training and Research Centre in Armenia’s Syunik Province on Tuesday, at around 9am.
A criminal case has been launched under Article 110.1 of the Criminal Code – causing somebody to commit suicide or make a suicide attempt by indirect willfulness or by negligence, by means of threat, cruel treatment or regular humiliation of one’s dignity.
The code envisages up to three years in prison for the crime.
