Planes fail to land at Yerevan airport amid fog
Three planes en route from Moscow and Warsaw to Yerevan could not make a landing at the Yerevan Zvartnots International Airport due to heavy fog and low visibility.
A source from the airport told Panorama.am that one of the Moscow-Yerevan flights landed at Astrakhan International Airport, while the other headed to Sochi.
Polish Airlines aircraft flying from Warsaw to Yerevan has returned to Poland due to foggy weather, the source said.
Some flights have been delayed due to adverse weather conditions.
“At the moment, the weather conditions are back to normal, landings are underway, departures will soon begin, arrivals are also carried out smoothly,” said Satenik Hovhannisyan, the spokesperson of Armenia International Airports.
