Two injured in crash involving electric train, car in Armenia
Two people have been injured after an electric train collided with a Vaz-2106 car in Armenia, the Ministry of Emergency Situations reported.
The accident occurred on the highway connecting the villages of Byuravan and Burastan in Ararat Province on Sunday.
One unit from the Fire and Rescue Squad of the Regional Rescue Department of the ministry’s Rescue Service was dispatched to the scene after the 911 hotline received a crash report at 7:37pm, the ministry said.
Before the arrival of rescuers, the two injured citizens, identified as Gevorg G., 35, and Sirvard M., 24, had been hospitalized at Erebouni Medical Center in moderate condition.
The cause of the crash was not immediately clear.
