Some roads closed, difficult to pass in Armenia
Some highways are closed or difficult to pass in the territory of Armenia as of 8:35am Tuesday, the Ministry of Emergency Situations said in a daily road condition update.
Vardenyats Pass and Sotk-Karvachar highway are shut down for cargo trucks and hardly passable for other vehicles.
Alagyaz-Artik, Tsilkar-Gegharot, Kajaran-Meghri highways and Shirak roads are difficult to pass.
Saravan-Zanger and Yerevan-Sevan highways, as well as the Dilijan winding roads are covered with black ice.
Fog has descended on the town of Goris in Syunik Province.
According to the Roads Department of Georgia’s Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure, Stepantsminda-Lars highway is open for all types of vehicles.
The General Department of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations in North Ossetia reports 230 trucks stuck on the Russian side of the border.
Drivers are strictly recommended to use winter tires when traveling to regions.
