Armenian FM, Minsk Group mediators meet in Bratislava
On the sidelines of his working visit to Slovakia for the participation in the 26th OSCE Ministerial Council in Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia, Foreign Minister of Armenia Zohrab Mnatakanyan met on Wednesday with OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs Igor Popov (Russia), Stéphane Visconti (France), Andrew Schoffer (U.S.) and Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office Andrzej Kasprzyk.
The Armenian foreign policy chief and Minsk Group mediators exchanged views on the forthcoming meeting of the Armenian and Azerbaijani foreign ministers.
In the context of the recent developments in the Nagorno-Karabakh (Artsakh) peace process, the officials particularly underscored the importance of steps aimed at creating an environment conducive to peace, including through staying committed to the previously reached agreements, the Foreign Ministry reported.
With regards to the agreement on preparing the populations for peace, the interlocutors positively assessed the implementation of media representatives' exchange program with the participation of journalists from Armenia, Artsakh and Azerbaijan, coordinated by the office of Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office.
