Armenian airports report 9.4% growth in passenger flow in November
Armenia’s two airports saw a strong growth in passenger traffic in November 2019 against the same month of 2018.
Yerevan Zvartnots International Airport and Shirak Airport in the second largest city of Gyumri handled 235,809 passengers last month, up 9.4 % from November 2018, Armenia International Airports CJSC reported.
In November this year, Zvartnots Airport reported a 10.1% increase in passenger traffic. The airport served 223,396 passengers last month against 202,915 of the past November.
Shirak Airport welcomed 12,413 passengers this November, down 1.7 % from November 2018 when passenger traffic comprised 12,627 people.
Since the beginning of the year passenger flow at the two airports of Armenia has reached 2,931,080 people, marking a 11.4 % growth from the same period last year.
Meanwhile, in January-November 2019 the total number of takeoffs and landings in both airports rose by 15.1% compared to the numbers of 2018.
