Special Cover dedicated to the State Award of the Republic of Armenia for Global Contribution in IT sphere cancelled in Yerevan
Special Cover dedicated to the State Award of the Republic of Armenia for Global Contribution in IT sphere has been cancelled on Thursday in the Presidential Palace of the RA.
As “HayPost” CJSC reported in a press release, the Special Cover depicts Takeo Kanade, the 10th Laureate of the State Award of the Republic of Armenia for Global Contribution in IT sphere, Japanese scientist, a Professor at Carnegie Mellon University, the author of “Origami World” theory and the founder of “Virtual Reality” concept.
The Special Cover represents a unique philatelic product - a thematic cover, on which 2 stamps dedicated to the theme “State Award of the Republic of Armenia for Global Contribution in IT sphere” and issued in 2018 are attached and which will be cancelled with a Special postmark. The Special Cover was designed with a print run of 500 pcs.
The cover signing ceremony has been attended by the Minister of High-Technological Industry of the Republic of Armenia Hakob Arshakyan, the 10th Laureate of the State Award Takeo Kanade, the Chief Executive Officer of “HayPost” CJSC Haik Avagyan, the President of the Union of Philatelists of the RA Hovik Musayelyan.
The official cancellation ceremony was held in the presence of the Prime-Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan.
