Kocharyan has no serious health problems, says head of his office
Armenia’s second President Robert Kocharyan, who has been transferred to Izmirlian Medical Center from the correction facility, feels well, the head of his office, Viktor Soghomonyan told reporters in a briefing on Thursday.
“He has no serious health problems. It’s a matter of days before he fully recovers and is discharged from hospital,” he said.
Soghomonyan stated he is not allowed to contact the ex-president due to the latter’s ‘unlawful arrest’ and gets informed about his condition from Kocharyan’s lawyers and family.
Kocharyan, who is remanded in custody pending the outcome of his trial, underwent a surgery in the same medical center nearly two months ago.
